Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from working with you? A few examples are that I’ll help you learn to stand up for yourself, learn how to and to not be afraid to set boundaries, and help you to stop over apologizing.

What is a coach/coaching? “The client has the answers, the coach has the questions.” A coach is a partner and advocate for you to achieve desired outcome(s) or goal(s). Through coaching, a coach will use powerful questioning to elicit a client’s deepest intentions and any blocks that get in the way of accomplishing the desired outcome(s) or goal(s). The coach will help a client design her or his life in order to have the life the client chooses. “A coach works with the client to increase the amount of choice in the client’s life.” Above all, the coach is a guide while you, the client, decide where the destination is. And yes, the destination may change! That’s ok!

How is coaching different from therapy? Think of therapy like archeology and coaching like architecture.

Therapy or counseling helps client understand the past in order to be better or feel better in the present. In contrast, a coach’s work is forward-focused and helps a client achieve a desired outcome or goal of the client’s own choosing.

What are the benefits of working with a coach? Change requires action. Coaching leads you to taking action so that you can have and live an empowered life, in which you are in control of your destination. Having a coach is like having a personal trainer at the gym in that a coach will keep you on track, and safely challenge and motivate you.

More importantly, coaching allows you to up-level your life and get unstuck.

Who do you coach? Anyone! I work with women, men, and non-binary individuals. Please contact me if you are under the age of 18.

What are the costs of your coaching program? Please contact me for payment options and rates.

How long is a coaching program? The coaching program will vary from client to client, and depend on the desired outcome or goal for each client. I offer 3 month, 6 month, and 12 month terms.

Do you offer individual sessions? No. First-time clients are invited to sign up for one of the 3 program offerings. From there, a client may purchase additional 1-1 sessions at an hourly rate if they exceed the allotted 12 sessions.

What is your background? I have a JD from the University of Santa Clara School of Law; I am licensed by the California State Bar. * I am a certified life coach (CLC) through Believe Life Coaching.

*My coaching services do not include legal services or advice. I do not hold myself out to represent you in any legal matter in any capacity. You should seek independent counsel on your legal matters outside of this coaching program.

What can I expect to get out of working with you? Honesty, compassion, and empathy. My role as your coach is to guide and support you to your desired outcome. We will work together to identify your goals and anything blocking you from achieving your goals. I’ll customize the approach to meet your needs. But in general, you can expect to challenge your beliefs, flip disempowering beliefs, and set up small but mighty empowering actions and habits that get you to your desired outcome.

Are coaching sessions live, video, or on the phone? Unless otherwise agreed by the client and the coach, all coaching sessions will be virtual. You, as the client, and I will agree to the best format.

Will my information be kept private and confidential? Yes, your name and details covered in coaching sessions are confidential, except in the event of injury or harm to you, the client, or someone else.

If I do coaching, does that mean there is something “wrong” with me? No, no, and no. Quite the opposite. It means you have a growth mindset and want to take control of your life and circumstances.
